Lab Work ≈ 20%                                            Final Exam = 20%

Course Description: This year we will explore the different ways that science is applied in our everyday lives.  The first semester we will focus on Physics and study motion, gravity, energy, electricity, light and waves.  In the second semester will concentrate on Chemistry and study the elements, compounds, atomic structure and chemical reactions.

Class Expectations:

* When somebody else in the classroom is speaking, show them the respect you want to be shown when you speak.

* It is important that you attempt the homework every night. Just as you wouldn’t take the test for your driver’s license without first practicing behind the wheel, you shouldn’t try to take a science test without doing the homework as practice, either.

* Late homework will be accepted up until the day of the unit exam and will count for half credit.

* You must ask for permission to print or use any computer in the room.
