What is Scholastic Bowl? |
| Scholastic
Bowl is a competitive club available at Palatine High
School. The game played is best described as Team
Jeopardy. A game consists of 20-30 trivia
questions of a wide variety (music, art, sports,
politics, academic topics, and many others) that are
asked by a moderator. Anyone on either team can
"buzz in" and attempt to answer the question. If
the other team gets it wrong, however, your team can
still answer to get the points! There are other
rules but each game only takes roughly 60 minutes. |

How does practice work? |
| Practice
typically involves trivia games, whether Cranium or
Trivial Pursuit, or simply looking at old game
questions. The purpose of the practice is to get
to know your team better, develop strategies to use
during the game, and get a feel for the types of
questions as well as their difficulty level. |

How can I join? |
| Come to our
Ice Cream Social on September 23rd or any of our later
meetings/practices and talk to a coach. We'd love
to have you join our team this year! |
