PHS Media Center

Student Behavior Guidelines

Students visiting the Media Center are asked to help keep the Media Center a productive and enjoyable place for all students by following staff requests and the below guidelines. 

  1. limit 4 people at each table
  2. leave furniture in place
  3. keep your voices low
  4. keep drinks in covered containers, and away from computers 
  5. no food allowed, including all candy
  6. be productive – find something to read, write, view or study
  7. display all passes at any seat

Mission Statement  

The Media Center at Palatine High School is a comprehensive learning and resource center with various forms of media available for both students and staff.  The Media Center supports the instructional needs of the various educational programs at PHS.

It is the mission of the media specialists to not only build a collection that continually supports the curriculum, but also to teach information literacy skills and to offer literacy programs to both students and staff which promote lifelong learning.
