As we start Behind-the-Wheel Instruction, it is important that all students get practice driving at
home. After each driving lesson, the instructor will be sending home with the student a written report of the
progress in the car. It is important that the parent read, sign, and return the report. The State of
Illinois requires that the parent or guardian give the student 50 hours
(10 of which should be at night time) of practice driving time before he, or she, may receive a
drivers license.
It is, also, mandatory that students attend class.
The State of Illinois requires that one attend a minimum number of
hours to earn credit to signify completion of Drivers' Education.

The Driver Education cars at Palatine High School. These cars are owned
and fully insured by School District 211.
