ABOUT THE CLUB.......

The Palatine JV Flag squad is one of numerous competitive activities here at Palatine High School.   Our season runs for about 8 months (June-February).  JV flags doesn't compete in the state contest, however, they placed in the top three at every competition last year.

The squad starts off in the summer by having a practice once a week and an occasional car wash to fundraise for expenses.  In July, the squad attends a summer camp (4 days) called Star Performance at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.

Performances throughout the year include ALL home football and basketball games, Royal Rally (homecoming kick-off assembly) and one assembly in front of the entire school.   In December, the squad starts competing against other area flag squads at certain locations.

Being on the flag squad is a fun and rewarding experience.  You make a lot of new friends and get to meet tons of interesting people.  If you  are interesting in being on flags, please contact Miss Colletti (Family & Consumer Science).  Tryouts are held at the beginning of May for the following school year.
